How to use Xenerkes Dragon's Ultima Launcher with releases

First, each DosBox configuration file (dosboxULTIMA#.conf, dosboxMARTIAN.conf, etc.) will need to be downloaded and copied to the "DOSBOX" folder in your installation path and possibly modified if you're using non-default folders. If you've installed the games to the default folders then you don't need to do any modifications to get these files to work.
If you haven't installed the games; do a default install and you're good to go.
If you've already installed the games, you have two options: manually edit the batch and config files to match your installation paths (if needed), or uninstall the games and then reinstall them in the default directories. Either method will work but if you don't have a decent grasp of command line interfaces (DOS, etc.) then manually editing the files can potentially be confusing. Once again, if you've done a default install for all the games, you shouldn't need to do anything at all.

Secondly, extract the batch files to the ROOT of your system drive (usually the "C:" drive.)

Third, install Xenerkes' Ultima Launcher and then configure the games. Point the "Games Path" for each game to the corresponding batch file on your system drive.

Double click on the game's launcher button and play the game.

*These files are only for the upgraded versions of the games (either manually or using Pix's patcher.) If you attempt to use them with the unmodified GoG releases they will fail.

I will update this site with detailed instructions on manually editing the files in the next few days. (I'll also clean it up so it's not such a boring mess.) If I fail to do so feel free to email me at and yell at me to get to work.
